New Area Manager for our growing company

We are delighted to inform you that Care Unlimited has appointed Andy Gee as Area Manager for the Care Unlimited Group. He started this brand new role on Monday 17th October 2011. Andy Gee has spent the best part of his professional career in corporate health care sectors. He is a registered mental nurse and registered nurse for learning disability. Andy brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience which will complement the top team of Care Unlimited and provide excellent support to our Home Managers and Project Manager for Domiciliary Care & Supported Living.

In pursuit of quality and preparation for the new Excellence Award by Commission for Social Care following the Health and Social Care Act 2008, Care Unlimited will be working towards the following:

• Outcome-objectives to meet CQC standards
• Staff to be properly and suitably qualified and trained for the job they do
• Good and achievable infection control in the homes
• Dietary requirements to be met
• Person-centred care plans
• Championing protection and safeguarding of people they care for

To make sure Care Unlimited is on track, we are delighted to welcome Andy Denness to the team. Until his retirement last year, Andy was South East Regional Registration Manger for the Care Quality Commission (CQC)

Andy Denness will act as our consultant on the following:

• Audits of compliance against the Essential Standards
• Support to complete Provider Compliance Assessments
• Registration work
• Complaints investigations
• Policies and Procedures
• Support to address non compliance issues
• Staff training
• Client Surveys
• Support re safeguarding issues
